Looking for JOY!

My Sister in-Law in Cali sent me this e-mail the other day.(which I posted below) This couple is in her ward and she knows them well. I was touched by their story and wanted to spread the word! Please visit there blog and read their sweet story!
Debbie

Dear Friends and Family,

As many of you may know Maggie and I have built our family by adopting. It has been a wonderful experience for us. Our two children were meant for our home, and we love them dearly. Sayler just turned 3 in October. Owen had is 2nd birthday in July. We have decided to add yet another personality to our home. Our paperwork and approval process is complete and we are now waiting to get selected for placement.

We are hoping that by networking we will be able to find the birth mother that is meant to place a child in our home. If you know of a pregnant mother/father that are looking to place a child, we would love to be considered. Adoption is a blessing for everyone involved.

We've started a blog to advertise our search. Please feel free to visit or send others to it.

Thank you,
Jon, Maggie, Sayler, and Owen

My baby... six months old!!!

Saturday October 24th
Cj is such a HAM! He is such a good baby. Never cries, a good eater, finally sleeping through the night, and loves attention from his brother! He Loves to grab things, sit up by himself (although sometimes falling over, which Porter loves to watch him do), loves eating his rice cereal and wants our food when we eat! Even with his first cold he is smiling and laughing! Cj loves to cuddle with anyone and will go to anyone with a smile. He loves to gibber jabber and grab his toes. I am so blessed to have yet another happy baby!

Six months stats-17 pounds and 26 inches long

Short and stocky...Just they way I like them!

Tractors, Trailers, and Hiches...Oh MY!

Since moving to Idaho Porter has been very curious about the farming world around us! The potato Field across the road has been one crop that he has enjoyed watching grow. I have attempted to tell him what I know about the process. Finally harvest was here. Papa, Pk and I walked over to watch them harvest the potato's. After watching for a few minutes, our neighbor asked if Porter wanted to go on a RIDE! Porter's face just lit up, as did mine so excited for this opportunity for him. I asked Pk who he wanted to ride with, as an adult had to ride with him and he walked over to his papa and just smiled. So off they went. He road for a good 20 minutes. Dad said he didn't touch a thing and was such a good boy. Here are a few pics!

Just playing around before the ride!Just watching in amazement. Here the truck rides next to the tractor as they load up the potato's!Waiting for another truck to load more potato's. Porter is running to me to tell me all about his ride! It was dark by now and the pic isn't that clear, but I kind of like how it turned out!

Great website for kids!

Realizing I might go crazy with the kids this winter and not being able to spend too much time outside ( besides playing in the snow) I have been searching for things to keep them busy. I have to say I love the Internet. I am so glad I live in a time where I have this luxury!

Anyhow, this website has so many crafty things to do with your kids. I love that most of them don't take much money, but easily entertain!

This morning we made this tree. I am excited to explore this new site. I thought I would share for those of you that have kids to entertain.

SNOW DAY!

video

I woke up this morning, at 6 am with Porter and I looked out the window and saw SNOW! This is the first time it has snowed in town this year so far. We had snow on the the mountain's last week. I have mixed feelings about this. I am excited because it is so beautiful and fun to play in, but in the other hand I know how difficult it will be to drive, pack up the kids in all there winter clothes, which Porter has already thank goodness!
Porter went to let the dog out the front door to go to the bathroom and decided he would go out too. He had a very special snow outfit on...PJ's and crocks!!! He ran out in the snow, but son realized it was cold and came inside crying cuz he was so cold. I told him to come in and put on his real snow suit. So we dressed him and he went out in the back yard. He played with his yellow wagon and made foot prints in the snow. Then when i asked him to come in he didn't want to of course, so i carried him in kicking and yelling at me. I guess we are only expecting snow today and then it is going to clear up. I asked mom if this is an early snow and she said that she has not seen snow before December in all the years she has lived here. Lucky us!!!!
